J. Andrew ("Andy") Williams is an experienced litigator, having advocated on behalf of clients for more than 30 years. He most recently retired from Nationwide Insurance's Trial Division where he practiced insurance defense for over 12 years, including starting the construction defect practice in Florida and managing the Atlanta office for 3 years. In addition to construction defect, Andy has handled all types of complex general liability cases including, without limitation, automobile accidents and premises liability cases. Though having lived in Florida for over 20 years, Andy is a native Georgian, having graduated from the University of Georgia with BA and MA degrees in Political Science, with a Concentration in International Relations. He subsequently graduated from the prestigious New York University Law School in 1993. A law career that eventually led to being licensed in 4 states, began with Andy doing employment law defense, including for major construction companies. This eventually morphed his practice into full-time construction claims and defect work and led him to Nationwide in 2013 to start their Florida construction defect practice based in Orlando. As a front-line attorney and manager since that time, Andy is well-versed in all insurance defense work, with a special talent for building strong claims and client relationships. Andy has been married to his wife Dawn for 29 years. They have two successful grown daughters, one a former captain of her lacrosse team in college, and the other an officer in the United States Air Force. Andy is also a veteran of the USAF, having served as an Air Surveillance Officer on an AWACS aircraft and been deployed in Europe, the Middle East (during the Iran-Iraq War), and the Caribbean.

Community and Professional Activities:

Mr. Williams is a member of the Florida Bar and an inactive member of the Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina Bars. He is a member of University Carillon Methodist Church in Oviedo, Florida and has served on many committees in the past with the Methodist denomination in Florida, including the establishment of a local Military Outreach ministry for active duty military members and veterans.
